Patriots 7-Round Mock Draft: Ideal Fits for New England

NFL Network Analysts Weigh In on Perfect Prospects

Marc Ross, Bucky Brooks, Lance Zierlein, and Rhett Lewis Offer Insights

With the New England Patriots set to make their first selection in the 2024 NFL Draft at No. 3 overall, NFL Network analysts have offered their opinions on which prospects would be ideal fits for the team. Using Pro Football Network's game-changing multi-user Mock Draft Simulator, we compiled a comprehensive 7-round mock draft for the Patriots.

Round 1, Pick 3: C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State

NFL Network's Marc Ross believes Stroud is the perfect quarterback for the Patriots, stating: "He's a natural leader with a strong arm and excellent decision-making." Ross also praised Stroud's mobility and ability to extend plays.

Round 1, Pick 14 (via Rams): Jalen Carter, DT, Georgia

Bucky Brooks believes that Carter would be a game-changer for the Patriots' defense. "He's a dominant interior presence who can disrupt the passing game and stop the run," Brooks said. Carter's versatility and athleticism make him a perfect fit for New England's multiple defensive fronts.

Round 2, Pick 35: Josh Downs, WR, North Carolina

Lance Zierlein suggests that Downs would be a perfect complement to the Patriots' offense. "He's a versatile receiver who can play inside or outside and make plays in the slot," Zierlein said. Downs' quickness and route-running ability would provide a much-needed boost to the Patriots' passing game.

Round 2, Pick 46: Derick Hall, OLB, Auburn

Rhett Lewis believes that Hall would be a valuable addition to the Patriots' defense. "He's a quick and athletic edge rusher who can get after the quarterback," Lewis said. Hall's ability to create pressure and force turnovers would be a welcomed addition to New England's defense.
