City A Machine Built To Win Says Defender

Trent Alexander-Arnold: Liverpool's Trophies Mean More Than Manchester City's

City "a machine built to win" says defender

Salah's late strike earns Liverpool vital point at the Etihad

Trent Alexander-Arnold has claimed that Liverpool's trophies mean more than Manchester City's, despite the latter's recent dominance in the Premier League.

Speaking after Liverpool's 1-1 draw at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday night, Alexander-Arnold said: "Our trophies mean more than theirs. We've won the Champions League six times, they've won it once. We've won the Premier League 19 times, they've won it five times.

We're a bigger club than them, and our trophies are worth more," he added.

Manchester City have won the Premier League title in four of the last five seasons, while Liverpool have won it once in that time.

However, Liverpool have won the Champions League twice in the last four years, while City have yet to win the competition.

Alexander-Arnold's comments are likely to reignite the rivalry between the two clubs, which has been one of the most intense in English football in recent years.
